Yes it does. We are in the process of supporting all requests via http2. The web apps support https as a default now. Also all requests in the web app are made over https. It´s safer but also faster because HTTP2 or SPDY can be used. Aside to that we use Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to speed up your web aopp by serving images and static content via a nearby server.
If you still use or have a none http url. please publish your app again to get the improbed https url
